While our most commonly used countertop materials are granite, marble, quartzite, and man-made quartz, there are additional options available.

Soapstone is a natural stone available in green, gray, and black. While beautiful, soapstone is a softer material which requires routine oiling. Another option is onyx. Onyx slabs are usually very dynamic with their patterns and can also be translucent making it good for backlit applications. Limestone is another porous, neutral and classic looking stone. Since it is porous, it’s not the best material to use in a working kitchen. Semi-precious stones are also an option. These luxury, lavish stones are breathtaking but come at a price. Prior to production, gemstones are hand selected and arranged to form immaculate designs. The gemstones are then combined with a resin mixture and formed into slabs.
